Preparing Today’s Girls to Become Tomorrow’s Proverbs 31 Women
Spotlight
Rubies Girls’ Clubs officially started in 2002, but it was a vision in the making long before its initiation as an organization. Yvonne Haskins has more than 40 years of experience in teaching youth ages 3-18. She has spent decades teaching her own daughters, and other young women, the disciplines and skills needed to become Proverbs 31 women both in and out of the home.
When she’s not working on developing the Rubies Girls’ Clubs program, Yvonne is a Master Gardener, enjoys traveling, and loves to spend time with her daughters and grandchildren. She lives in North Carolina with her husband Al on the property where she hosts Rubies camps and monthly classes.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to discover tomorrow’s strong, noble, and empowered women by inspiring, guiding and mentoring today’s girls.
Our girls learn about sewing, gardening, cooking, personal hygiene, fashion, interior design, and more through first-hand experiences.
Our educational methods are full of innovation and creativity, and are executed with excellence.
Our curriculum is Bible-based, specifically on Proverbs 31:10-31 and Titus 2, will instill godly qualities, and will inspire the girls to develop a deeper relationship with their Creator.
Our organization is called Rubies, and is designed to help girls realize their true value, their unique design, and to help them become women with character that are truly “worth far more than rubies.”
Motto
“Created to be Creative”
God is the most creative being to ever exist. His handiworks are perfectly made and fit for eternity. When He designed humans, He made them in His own image (Genesis 1:27).
In resembling Him we too are designed to create. As we make, design, and explore creativity, we are testifying of His character and drawing attention to His glory. In this way, we have been “Created to be Creative”!

Testimonies
“My daughter first attended a Rubies Camp two years ago. She was hooked from day one! Since then, the camps and Mrs. Haskins have become staples in our lives and something my daughter looks forward to. Once a camp date is announced, our schedule revolves around that date.”
“My daughter has been a part of Rubies since 2018. She started by learning various life skills and now mentors other young girls. The Rubies program builds strong, confident young women in all facets of life. My favorite part is the excitement seen on the girls’ faces when they have completed a project.”
